3 things to look for when purchasing a painting

3 things to look for when purchasing a painting:
1. Statement/Wow factor: does the piece draw you to it instantly? Does it leave you thinking about it later? All good signs you'll love it!
.
2. Avoid odd shapes: oval frames or hexagon shaped paintings can be hard to replace or update if you change your mind down the road. Stick to rectangular frames or square shapes!
.
3. Steer clear of cookie cutter: weird art is appreciated because it is different! Cookie cutter pieces often times don't get noticed. One of my customers' favorite parts of purchasing a painting is when someone asks about it they get to tell them about their piece, who made it, and it's an incredible feeling to get someone's attention with your fabulous taste in art!
.
Helpful Hint: don't be shy. Art is an incredible and powerful thing to place ownership of.
Until next time,
