Tour My Therapeutic Painting Studio

Tour My Therapeutic Painting Studio

Hey you guys, today I'm going to take you around my studio - my favorite place in the house!!!

With the holidays coming up I've gotten some messages from you guys asking about painting for therapeutic reasons, so I thought I'd show you what I love in my studio today and tell you how I like to use everything!

Here's what I have for big things in my studio:

-comfy desk chair (mine is from Costco)

-faux fur rug on back (for cozy vibes)

-Alexa

-Desk

-Book shelf

-Art cart

-2 lamps from the thrift store

I love using things I've thrifted in my studio because I am 100% going to get paint on it.  The last thing you want to worry about when you're creating - especially from a therapeutic standpoint - is getting something dirty.  You want to be able to feel relaxed and comfortable so don't spend a lot on furniture or furnishings in here!

For sure focus on comfy vibes.  I did this by throwing a faux fur rug on the back of my chair and repurposing a zebra rug on the floor.  2 thrifted lamps add a cozy bit of lighting that makes me feel comfortable in the evenings when I want to decompress rather than an overhead light (to me feels too harsh)

An Alexa or speaker is a MUST! Personally, I love to listen to music while I'm in my studio.  I like: Christmas music, relaxing music, or Morgan Wallen haha! It's always one of those three for me!

The main thing when making your space feel good and ready to go is the vibe.  Cozy vibes are definitely going to set your mind at ease and feel comfortable to paint without restrictions.

Hopefully this was helpful and encouraging to you, don't stress about it too much.  Keep it simple, and go for it
